My name is Melinda, most call me 'Minda' or 'Min', but Melinda is fine. I'm 23 years old and I live in the heart of the wine country in California. I've lived here all of my life and am pretty much itching to get out. I work at a local bank as a Personal Banker. A job is a job and it pays the bills, I also happen to be quite good at it, but I cannot wait to get out of here. I'll finally be finished with school in May with a Bachelors degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources. I feel as if I have been in college forever!

I'm amazingly in love with my boyfriend of about three years. Patrick is in the Army and just completed OCS in Ft. Benning, GA making him a 2nd Lt. He is now in Ft. Eustis, VA receiving MORE training (until June 2010) and will come out of there knowing how to be best leader he can be. He's strong and amazing and everything that I will ever need in my life. I cannot wait for the day that I am his wife and I can stand beside him through everything. He completes my life in a way that even I didn't expect.

This journal will be about my time spent away from him. There will also be mention of my family members (who both drive me crazy and keep me sane). It's not always pretty but it's always true and having people who understand really helps!
